Donning the Mantle of their Responsibilities

THE INVESTITURE CEREMONY OF THE JUNIOR STUDENT COUNCIL – 2021

The members of the newly appointed Student Council of the Preparatory, 2021-22, were invested with their responsibilities in a very solemn ceremony on July 30, 2021, Friday.

The council has 16 members including the Head Boy and Head Girl, various secretaries and prefects. The entire selection process ,carried out on a virtual platform, consisted of three different rounds where their general awareness, subject mastery, fluency of speech, analytical skills and clarity of thoughts were put to test.

The Investiture Ceremony was presented by student Emcees from Grade 5. The Junior Swaralaya invoked the divine blessings through a soulful prayer song along with a prayer dance by three students of grade 5. The grade coordinator, Ms. Mini Suresh, welcomed the dignitaries, parents, faculty and the students of Grade 5. The dignitaries who invested the council members were Mr. Balachandran P (Director and Vice President, Choice Trading Corporation) Mr. Ajith Jacob (Principal, Choice School), Ms. Vimala Jacob (Educational Administrator, Choice School), Ms. Nalini Subramanian (Consultant) Educational Affairs, Choice School and Ms. Reena Rajesh (VP, Choice Primary). The council members took their oath of allegiance to the school and towards the responsibilities vested upon them. The investiture song was rendered by the Council members with expert mentoring from the music department. The Principal, Mr. Ajith Jacob and Preparatory VP, Ms. Reena Rajesh addressed the council. The vote of thanks was delivered by the Co-curriculum coordinator, Ms. Sreeja Iyer. Media support was provided by Mr. Sumith and the event was well coordinated by Team Grade 5 along with the Co-curriculum department.

2021 being a year poignant with promises, the Student Council looks forward to a world of experience which will help them face the society with more confidence and be an active member of the innovative and continuous ways in which Choice School is serving the society.
