IB World Schools share a common philosophy- a commitment to high-quality, challenging, international education- that we believe is important for our students. Only schools authorized by the IB Organization can offer any of its four academic programmes: the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP), the Diploma Programme (DP), or the Career-related Programme (CP). Candidate status gives no guarantee that authorization will be granted.

Built on the foundation of the International Baccalaureate philosophy, the MYP offers a unique and demanding framework that goes beyond conventional learning, focusing on the holistic development of students’ intellectual, personal, emotional, and social skills. Serving as a seamless pathway to the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP), the MYP ensures a smooth transition for students aspiring toward a challenging and globally recognized pre-university qualification.

The MYP curriculum framework comprises eight subject groups, providing a broad and balanced education for early adolescents. In the final two years of the programme, carefully-defined subject group flexibility allows students to meet local requirements and personal learning goals.

In years 4 and 5, students have the option to take courses from six of the eight subject groups within certain limits, to provide greater flexibility in meeting local requirements and individual student learning needs. Each year, students in the MYP also engage in at least one collaboratively planned interdisciplinary unit that involves at least two subject groups.
MYP students also complete a long-term project, where they decide what they want to learn about, identify what they already know, discover what they will need to know to complete the project and create a proposal or criteria for completing it.
Syllabus Overview
